Team with our sponsor, Leon Alden, Corcillium Wealth Management.

The Shots Trust are pleased to officially unveil our new Sunday League Football Team “Aldershot Supporters Trust FC”. Our team will play in the Aldershot and Camberley Sunday Football League, competing in the newly formed division 6 for the 2020/2021 season.

Today’s announcement sees the return of an Aldershot-based supporters team.  It will be completely run and administered by The Shots Trust, who are a democratic Supporters Trust, representing the interests of Aldershot Town supporters.

Tommy Anderson has agreed to become Chairman of the Club, and will be joined on the Management Committee by Shots Trust colleagues, Laura Smart and Michael Foster. We’re also delighted to announce David Wright as our First Team Manager and he will be supported by Adam Grist and Warren Vass.

We will play all home matches at Rushmoor Saints FC, having secured a partnership and groundshare deal with Rushmoor Saints for the upcoming season.

Our main shirt sponsors are Corcillium Wealth Management. The company is based in North Hampshire, and works with both individual and corporate clients across the spectrum of financial services.  Specialising in investment and retirement planning, you can find the company at Financial Advice Guildford | Wealth Management Basingstoke

Newly appointed Club Chairman, Tommy Anderson commented:  “I’m delighted to have been asked by the Shots Trust to set up and oversee the launch of our new Club and Football Team. Today marks the start of a new and exciting journey for us. I’d like to officially welcome our new Management and First Team Squad and thank them for choosing to sign up and join Aldershot Supporters Trust FC.

So much work has gone on behind the scenes since June.  As a new club, starting with a blank canvas, we have had to find a management team and, with their help, get a squad together. We have also had to find a place to call home on match days; design and obtain a kit. We have also had the challenge of finding willing sponsors! On which note, I would like to place on record the Shots Trust’s sincere thanks to Leon Alden from Corcillium Wealth Management, who has agreed to come onboard as our main shirt sponsor.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Neil McBride, John Orme and everybody associated with Rushmoor Saints for their help and support in ensuring that we have a home ground, training facilities and all the correct insurances in place.

Finally, on behalf of everyone connected to the Shots Trust, we wish David and the team the best of luck for the season ahead and look forward to a promising and successful campaign!”

First Team Manager David Wright is back in the game after a five year break, and is proud to be named as the manager of Aldershot Supporters Trust FC.  David said:  “After supporting the Shots since 1985, and playing football in the local area (including Junior Shots and Aldershot Colts since the age of 8), I’m really proud to take charge of the team for their first season. Having assembled a great squad,  I am expecting this to be a successful season!  I strongly encourage any fellow Shots fans to come and cheer us on down at Bourley Road. Our aim is to make this a Shots Community Team, representing not only the town, but all Shots supporters.”
