We are today pleased to announce that we have purchased £5,000 worth of shares in the Football Club.
The decision to purchase this value of shares has been taken following last month’s Trust Board meeting, where we discussed at length our keenness to assist and help the Football Club in what are unusual and difficult times for everybody concerned.
We also took into account the fact that the Club had three home matches against Woking, Torquay and Ebbsfleet cancelled during the lockdown period, where match-day revenue would have exceeded the usual amount for a home game.
This sum will not only go towards helping the Club, but now also sees the Shots Trust increase it’s total shareholding to £15,000. As the Voice of the Fans, we look forward to being an active shareholder and to engaging with the Club Board in discussions around our way forward.
Shots Trust Chairman, Tommy Anderson commented:
“At December’s Trust AGM, I made a commitment to our members that I and the Trust Board would seek to improve our somewhat strained relationship with the Football Club. Following a more positive chain of communications recently, I’m delighted to say that we have purchased £5,000 worth of shares, to help the Club in these unprecedented and testing times for us all.”
I’m also pleased to announce that we are talking to the Football Club about a new joint venture in the foreseeable future.”
