Four members of the Trust Board enjoyed a very constructive meeting with Shahid Azeem and Tony Knights from the Football Club Board and the following represents a summary of the points discussed.
Shahid explained an issue regarding Terry Owens and the withdrawal of the seat for life awarded to him by the previous company. The Board were anxious to run the Club in a professional way and within its means and had an ‘all must pay’ philosophy. Consequently, the majority of complimentary tickets had been withdrawn, including Terry’s.
Trust bookings for the Community Stand were going really well, so well in fact that they could utilise more seats. A meeting had been arranged between the Trust and the other major debenture holders of the Community Stand to discuss ticket allocation to maximise the facility.
The Club Christmas party was arranged for Saturday 21 December after the Tamworth home game. Further information would be available shortly.
The Club were now producing posters to advertise each month’s first team, Academy and Chelsea matches, and they would welcome contact from supporters willing to display or distribute these.
The Trust were proposing to issue a survey to supporters in February and the Football Club Board were keen to work with the Trust on this.
The Football Club were pleased to have re-established their relationship with the Aldershot Ladies’ football team and would urge supporters to follow their progress.
The Academy team was doing exceptionally well and now being run professionally. Fans would soon be able to find out more about them on a notice board being provided by Shahid.
The Club were now working with local stewards and were providing training to them on how to host events.
Half-season tickets would shortly be on sale.
The next meeting of the Football Club and Trust Boards is scheduled for Thursday, 28 November 2013.
