Apologies for absence
Apologies were received from Stuart Gibbs (SG).
The Trust Board were conscious that they had promised supporters that the results of this would be published earlier but had agreed with the Football Club Board to delay this until the end of the season to allow all concentration to be on the last few matches and remaining in the Conference Premier. It would now be published as soon as possible on the Trust website with a link from Shotsweb.
Escrow Account/Forever Shots Fund
Responses had now been received from contributors to the Escrow account and acknowledgements would now be sent. The Forever Shots Fund would now be open to new contributors with a launch date proposed for 1 July 2014.
The Trust Board were pleased that away travel had been organised for at least nine matches and it was intended to increase this for next season. It was very helpful to be able to use a minibus where numbers were low which enabled supporters to attend these matches.
Bookings for the Stand were continuing to go really well with a great deal of interest being shown in this in the Supporter Survey. Plans were already in hand to maximize this facility for next season.
Andrew Clark from Clark’s Catering had attended the meeting to discuss a proposal for a bar area on the site of the old toilet block at the top of the ground. It was hoped that this could be built with help from volunteers and donations of equipment to minimize costs and the Trust agreed to communicate this to supporters and, once more details were received, consider this as a project to support financially, with the agreement of Trust members.
Meeting with Football Club Board
It had not been possible to hold the regular monthly meetings for a variety of reasons but it was intended to arrange one for May. The Trust Board welcomed the appointment of new Directors, Andy Muckett and Brian Bloomfield.
Communication would shortly be sent to all members regarding the AGM to be held in June with information on how to apply should anyone wish to join the Board and how to submit motions for consideration at the AGM. Some members of the Board would be resigning at the AGM so new Board members would be welcome.
The Trust Rules had been redrafted to bring them into line with the latest Model Rules provided by Supporters Direct and these would be presented to the AGM for approval.
Both the Supporters Trust and the Community Trust would be working together to represent the Football Club at the Army Show on 28 June and it was hoped that supporters would come along to take part in the activities provided.
Date of Next Meeting
This had been agreed for Monday, 2 June 2014, 7 – 9 pm at the ESS Stadium.
