Apologies for absence

Apologies were received from Tommy Anderson (TA) and Sefton Owens.

Matchday Posters

Posters advertising March fixtures had been provided and were collectible from the Trust Gazebo on matchdays.  As many supporters as possible were requested to distribute these to promote the matches in local shops, businesses, etc.

Badges

The Trust had been donated a collection of badges from a loyal supporter.  These were available for purchase at the Trust Gazebo on matchdays at a cost of £3 per badge.

Escrow Account

There were still some contributors to the account who had not elected whether they wanted their funds returned or transferred instead to either the Forever Shots or Trust account.  These would be contacted and once all the information was received, acknowledgements would be sent to all contributors.

Once the Escrow account was clear, a communication would be prepared to send to all supporters regarding the Forever Shots account.

Supporter Survey

The deadline for closure of the survey had been extended to 11 March to enable paper copies to be distributed to those supporters without internet access as this had not been possible when originally scheduled due to the cancellation of matches.  The Trust Board were very pleased with the number of responses so far – 565 at the time of the meeting.  Once the results had been analysed, these would be shared with the Football Club Board and all supporters and an action plan formulated.  The Survey had received excellent publicity in the local press and Tommy Anderson interviewed Ian Barnett for Shots Radio regarding the survey.  Very good feedback was received from that and in total over 486 people have listened to the interview.  The support for the survey from the Club’s media team was however disappointing.

Away Travel

It was pleasing that the Trust-arranged away travel was now doing well and the Trust were planning on running a coach to Tamworth.

Community Stand

Bookings for the Stand were continuing to go really well with a great deal of interest being shown in this in the Supporter Survey.  Plans were already in hand to maximize this facility for next season.

Membership

The Trust still held a number of membership cards and supporters were urged to collect these from the Trust Gazebo on matchdays.  New membership leaflets were now available and the Trust were keen to enrol new members or renewals, again on matchdays at the Gazebo.

Meeting with Football Club Board

This took place at the Football Club on 27 February and a report of the meeting is to be posted separately.

Matchday Activities

With the success of the Community Stand, the Trust were now very busy on matchdays and would always welcome volunteers to help out.  In addition to looking after the Community Stand visitors, taking bookings for away travel and sorting out membership, the Trust were now selling some merchandise on behalf of the Football Club.

Football Club Shares

After some discussion, the Trust Board agreed to purchase £100 worth of shares in the Football Club, both to offer support to the Football Club and to have access to the Football Club accounts and access to Shareholder meetingsIt was noted that supporters wishing to purchase shares should contact the club directly.
Infrastructure Projects

The Football Club had requested support from the Trust to replace the home and away toilets at the East Bank end of the ground, and also to convert the old toilet block into an outside bar.  However, the initial plans for these had changed and the Trust were awaiting more information before being able to make a recommendation and seeking members’ approval for these projects.

Trust AGM

It was agreed that this be arranged for mid-June and a date would be communicated to all Trust members once agreed.

Summer Ball

The Football Club were organising a Summer Ball.  Prices would be £750 for a table of 12 or £65 per table.  The Trust would promote to members.

End of Season Party

The Football Club were also arranging an event following the last match of the season against Hereford, starting immediately after the match at 7.15 pm at which the Trust would be presenting the end of season trophies.

Date of Next Meeting
