As you may be aware, the good news is that the CVA was accepted by both the creditors and the shareholders this morning. The bad news though is that the bid is still £50,000 short and this money needs to be raised in the next 24 hours to avoid liquidation.
We have had a few requests from people who have invested in the Escrow / Community Share fund for these monies to be transferred to the administrator to make up the £50k shortfall. Following discussion with the Solicitors who hold the Escrow monies this will not be possible in the timeframe the administrator has given for the additional funds to be raised, and even then the money can only be paid back via a cheque so this would also take 3 – 7 days to clear.
Therefore we are suggesting that anyone who wishes to donate to make up the £50k shortfall do so directly with the administrator and as soon as possible. Time really is of the essence here. Just so everyone is aware any money sent to the administrators will be a donation and will be directly used to pay off the creditors. For those supporters that wish to use money donated to the Escrow account for this purpose we suggest that you make a separate donation to the administrators immediately and then make a request to the Solicitors for your Escrow / Community Share money to be returned. Also we understand that any donations made to the administrators will be ring fenced and if the club is liquidated will be returned in full.
Assuming the funds are raised and the club comes out of administration via the consortium then the Community Share offer will not be proceeding any time soon. However, we will be discussing what to do with the account in the next few weeks. It is highly likely we will continue to accumulate funds into the Escrow account but with a more long term target.
To make a donation payments should be made by cheque made payable to Quantuma ATFC Client account and can be sent or delivered to either the Football Club or direct to Quantuma Restructuring.
We can now confirm that the Administrators have enabled an account to accept Bank Transfers. The details are as follows
Account number – 83563006
Account type – IBCA
Sort code – 203647
When giving out these details please advise people to put their full name as the reference for the payment as this will make it easier to return money in the event that it is not used.
If anyone wishing to donate does not have the facilities to pay by cheque or bank transfer please contact the club on 01252 320211 and they will endeavour to assist you in finding some other method of depositing your donation for you.
Addresses for the cheques to be posted to are as follows:
Aldershot Town Football Club
The EBB Stadium
30 Oxford Street
